SOMERSET LOCAL NATURE PARTNERSHIP is a cross-sector partnership hosted by registered charity Somerset Wildlife Trust, and is not an independent legal entity. SOMERSET LOCAL NATURE PARTNERSHIP is funded by Somerset Council and Wessex Water, and governed by a Board with an independent Chair.

This Policy outlines how SOMERSET LOCAL NATURE PARTNERSHIP manages and holds the information we collect as part of our work. This Policy was last updated on 24 May 2018 in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which take effect from 25 May.

SOMERSET LOCAL NATURE PARTNERSHIP holds email addresses, telephone numbers, individual names, job titles and organisation names for key contacts at partner organisations. These organisations include funding partners, Board members and wider stakeholder partners. This data is held to ensure that we effectively involve all our partners in our work to best deliver our vision of a secure, healthy and improving natural environment in the Somerset. Our lawful basis for processing and storing this data is legitimate interest.

SOMERSET LOCAL NATURE PARTNERSHIP holds email addresses, individual names and organisation names as provided by individuals who wish to stay in touch with our work and join our mailing list to receive our electronic newsletter. Our newsletters are shared via email using the Mailchimp (a third party) service. Our lawful basis for processing and storing this data is consent.

SOMERSET LOCAL NATURE PARTNERSHIP also holds email addresses, individual names and organisation names as provided by individuals who wish to attend SOMERSET LOCAL NATURE PARTNERSHIP events. We use Eventbrite (a third-party service) to manage bookings for events that we manage. This information will be used by SOMERSET LOCAL NATURE PARTNERSHIP to administer and manage bookings – including sending a follow up email after the event, and stored for monitoring and evaluation purposes. Our lawful basis for processing and storing this data is consent and legitimate interest.

We do not share such data with third parties, except for discrete projects where specified delivery partners require such data to carry out specified works on behalf of SOMERSET LOCAL NATURE PARTNERSHIP. In these cases, delivery partners commit to not sharing and deleting such data at the close of the specified works. Our lawful basis for this is legitimate interest.

 

How we store your data and for how long:

When a contact unsubscribes from our mailing list or we receive an email bounce-back, their record will be deactivated and they will no longer receive communications.

Any individual can ask us to delete any personal data that we hold for them by sending a ‘Delete personal data’ request to steve.mewes@somersetwildlife.org Any individual has the right to request a copy of all personal data that we hold for them.

 

Cookies:

If you visit our website (SomersetLNP.org.uk) but do not provide your details in the contact form or sign up to our mailing list, we do not collect any personal information about you through the website, although we may track your use of the website using cookies. We use Google Analytics cookies to track anonymous usage statistics and do not collect any personal information that can be used to identify you.
